Knitted Black and White Fair Isle Hat

I used a free knitting pattern available online for this hat. I used Berroco Vintage DK yarn in cast iron and Jo-Ann Sensations Cuddle DK weight yarn in white.  Total Cost: about $4

There are supposed to be little white dots after the fair isle pattern but they sort of got lost. I think my gauge got a little wonky near the end.

I made the plaid infinity scarf out of a cotton from the Red Tag section at Jo-Ann Fabrics for $1.67.

  1. Alison, as always you have done a wonderful job with your scarf and hat. I love how you budget your projects with great fines from Jo-Ann Fabrics.

  2. This looks like a bought one your so clever! I am so amazed at people who knit. I have attempted it a few time and end up dropping the loops until I end up with none. Yours looks like a surf wear beanie that costs about 30 over here so good work!
